Analipsi scores 31 out of 100 for property crime — above-average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. It is home to about 36,543 people at 15,626 people per km².
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate for Greece as a whole, 100 the safest end of the scale and 0 the least safe, and every doubling of the rate costs the same number of points wherever you are. Part of the eastern 5th Municipal Community, historically the Exoches or Pyrgoi villa belt, now a solidly middle-class residential strip between Papanastasiou, 25is Martiou and the waterfront. It has cafes, private schools, clinics and a metro station of its own since November 2024. Visitors mostly pass through on the way to the Nea Paralia; residents are a notably older population, which is reflected in the kind of crime that gets reported here.
Calm and well-lit along the main avenues, quieter on the residential blocks inland. The documented incidents are daytime and early-evening robberies of individuals rather than night-time disorder.
A comfortable, unexciting base with a metro station, good for families and longer stays, and a short ride or a long waterfront walk from the White Tower. Not where you go for evening atmosphere.
