Nea Politeia scores 50 out of 100 for violent crime — average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. It is home to about 19,012 people at 7,743 people per km².
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate for Greece as a whole, 100 the safest end of the scale and 0 the least safe, and every doubling of the rate costs the same number of points wherever you are. The newest planned district of Evosmos, built out heavily through the 2000s and now home to somewhere between 8,000 and 12,000 people. It is bounded below by the ring road and runs parallel to 25is Martiou street. Because it is recent, it has wider streets, newer blocks and more parking than the old core, and it reads as the most ordinary-suburban part of the municipality. No police release or press report identifies Nea Politeia specifically as a crime location; the reporting that exists is for Evosmos as a whole.
Quieter and more residential than the Evosmos centre, with less commercial frontage to be broken into and less night-time gathering. No documented incidents specific to it.
No real reason to - residential with no visitor infrastructure - but it is the least troubled part of the municipality.
