What Tsivdi is actually like
A central quarter near the site of the old harbour, and the historic Jewish neighbourhood of Patras from the second Venetian period until the 1821 revolution — a closed and, by contemporary accounts, insanitary quarter then. Today it is the opposite: a quiet central neighbourhood with a good stock of neoclassical buildings and commercial premises at street level, within the lower-city grid and an easy walk of the seafront and the North Port. Visitors pass through it on the way between the station area and the centre. Against the nightlife streets a few blocks away it is markedly calmer, and it appears in no crime reporting for 2024-2026.
