Pevkon scores 31 out of 100 for property crime — above-average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. It is home to about 13,052 people at 6,745 people per km².
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate for Greece as a whole, 100 the safest end of the scale and 0 the least safe, and every doubling of the rate costs the same number of points wherever you are. Pevka, the municipality's uppermost unit on the wooded slope near the ring road, and the greenest and most suburban of the four. It closes the municipality's summer cultural programme each year. Its one piece of safety history is old and should be dated honestly: in January 2020 the mayor publicly raised a surge in incidents including attacks on students, with Pevka named as the site of a recent attack and Andrea Papandreou avenue flagged as a concern. No comparable reporting for Pevka was found for 2024-2026.
Quiet, leafy and suburban, with little late transport and long dark stretches near the treeline. No recent documented incidents.
Not practical for visitors - furthest from the centre with the weakest connections. Pleasant residential area.
Reputation against reality. The attacks-on-students reporting is from January 2020, and the mayor's complaint then was about inadequate police coverage. Treating it as current would be misleading.
