A southern district whose name means the willows, lying in the belt around the Glafkos toward Lefka and Kryа Iteon. It is a plain residential area of post-war housing and small blocks with local shops, schools and a settled population; the local cultural association has campaigned for Ities and neighbouring Lefka to shake off the neglect and downgrading that characterises them, which is a fair description of the place — worn public space rather than crime. Against Kryа Iteon next door it is much the same; against Zarouchleika to the north it is smaller and has no documented policing profile of its own.
