It borders Efkarpia, Neapoli, Sykies, Stavroupoli and Meteora. Polichni is ordinary dense residential Thessaloniki: apartment blocks, local shopping streets, sports clubs, Byzantine watermills and a nature park at its edge. It was named among the western areas hit by the 2024 wave of shop break-ins.
