Karabournaki has no police figures of its own, so its estimate is Kalamaria's: both score 58 for violent crime. An estimated 7,908 people live there: the 2021 census counts the surrounding community as a whole, and this is its share by area.
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Karabournaki is actually like
The headland quarter at Kalamaria's northwestern edge, where the municipality meets the city's eastern seafront, named after Karaburun in Asia Minor. It is best known for the archaeological excavation on the tell and for the old airfield land behind it. Residentially it is quiet, middle-class and low-rise by Thessaloniki standards. There is no police reporting or local news coverage that identifies Karabournaki as a crime location - the Kalamaria incidents that reach the press are recorded at municipality level. The nearest weekly street market (laiki) is Kalamaria's Thursday market on Amisou street and the streets off it, just beyond its edge.
After dark
Residential and quiet. The seafront path is used by walkers and runners into the evening; the inland streets empty early. No documented night-time problem.
