Votsi scores 59 out of 100 (modelled estimate, Eurostat 2021–2024) for violent crime — average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. Votsi has no police figures of its own. Its estimate is Kalamaria's rate — Kalamaria scores 58 for violent crime — and the 1 point between them comes from how the model shares Kalamaria's total out, not from anything measured in Votsi. An estimated 8,088 people live there: the 2021 census counts the surrounding community as a whole, and this is its share by area.
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Votsi is actually like
A small inland residential subdivision in the middle of Kalamaria, formally Synoikismos Navarchou Votsi and paired in municipal records with Agios Panteleimonas, the parish it sits in. It is one of the original 1920s refugee settlements, now filled in with ordinary apartment blocks. Coverage is thin: the municipality has published traffic-management changes for the Votsi area, but there is no crime reporting specific to it. Judge it by Kalamaria's baseline rather than looking for a local record that does not exist. Kifisia's Friday street market (laiki) sets up inside it, on Zirganou street and the streets off it.
After dark
Quiet residential streets, no nightlife of its own, no documented night-time problem. Residents walk to the centre or the seafront for anything after dark.
What to watch for
- Nothing area-specific is documented
Staying here
Fine but unremarkable - a place to rent an apartment, not a base with character. The centre and seafront are a short walk.
