Δημοτική Κοινότητα Πιτίτσης · District

Modelled estimate — how it is made
80/100

By type of crime

Pititsa scores 80 out of 100 (modelled estimate, Eurostat 2021–2024) for violent crime — below-average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. Pititsa has no police figures of its own. Its estimate is Patras's rate — Patras scores 47 for violent crime — and the 33 points between them come from how the model shares Patras's total out, not from anything measured in Pititsa. It is home to about 26 people (2021 census).

The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Pititsa is actually like

Ordinary precautionsThe usual precautions apply. The note lists anything specific to this place.

A very small mountain village and community of the Rio municipal unit on Panachaiko, at 631 m and about 14 km in a straight line from Plateia Georgiou in central Patras, with 20 residents at the 2021 census. In 1912 it was placed in the newly established community of Sella, and it became a community of its own in 1924. Stone houses, an older population and weekend visitors. The village gave its name to the Pititsa hill climb, once part of the Greek hill-climb championship, and the Eleousa monastery and the small cave church of the Analipsi are nearby. No institutions, no city bus and no incident reporting in the 2024-2026 record.

After dark

Silent and very dark, with no lighting, no through traffic and patchy phone coverage. Nothing documented.
