A small central district at the start of Iroon Polytechniou, wedged between Terpsithea and Ydraiika and running toward Freattyda, with Sachtouri as its boundary. It sits above Akti Miaouli by the port exhibition hall, minutes from the cruise and ferry frontage. The name comes from Ioannis Vryonis, a merchant who arrived from the Russian east in the late 19th century and built a landmark house with a gothic clock dome. Today it is purely residential with shops and offices.
Central enough that people move through at all hours between the port and Pasalimani, and overlooked by apartments. Nothing documented here in 2024-26.
One of the better-kept secrets for a ferry night: residential calm, a short flat walk to Akti Miaouli and the terminals, five minutes to Dimotiko Theatro metro. Little hotel choice, so book early.
