Δημοτική Κοινότητα Καλλιθέας · District

Modelled estimate — how it is made
67/100

By type of crime

Kallithea scores 67 out of 100 (modelled estimate, Eurostat 2021–2024) for property crime — below-average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. Kallithea has no police figures of its own. Its estimate is Patras's rate — Patras scores 55 for property crime — and the 12 points between them come from how the model shares Patras's total out, not from anything measured in Kallithea. It is home to about 837 people (2021 census).

The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Kallithea is actually like

Ordinary precautionsThe usual precautions apply. The note lists anything specific to this place.

A community of the Messatida municipal unit on the rising ground south of Patras, made up of Kallithea, also called Kallitheokampos, and Ano Kallithea: 781 and 103 residents respectively at the 2021 census. Kallithea lies about 9 km in a straight line from Plateia Georgiou in central Patras, astride the Patras-Tripoli national road (111), and borders Ovrya, Thea and Krini. The present village grew up after the 1969 earthquake destroyed most of the old one, now rebuilt as Ano Kallithea, where two Mycenaean cemeteries have been excavated, one with 22 unlooted tombs. It is a small commuter settlement of detached houses. No visitor draw and no incident reporting in the 2024-2026 record. City bus 803 (Kallithea - Thea) makes eleven departures from Patras on weekdays, a few on Saturdays and none on Sundays (timetable in force from 28 September 2026). The street markets the municipal regulation places in the Messatida unit are Monday's on Germanou street in Ovrya and Thursday's on Agion Theodoron street in Demenika.
