Modelled estimate — how it is made
63/100

By type of crime

Mintilogli scores 63 out of 100 (modelled estimate, Eurostat 2021–2024) for property crime — average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. Mintilogli has no police figures of its own. Its estimate is Patras's rate — Patras scores 55 for property crime — and the 8 points between them come from how the model shares Patras's total out, not from anything measured in Mintilogli. It is home to about 2,363 people (2021 census).

The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Mintilogli is actually like

Ordinary precautionsThe usual precautions apply. The note lists anything specific to this place.

A community of the Paralia municipal unit on a hill about 50 m above the southern coastal plain, about 7.5 km in a straight line from Plateia Georgiou in central Patras. It had 2,331 residents at the 2021 census, 2,104 of them in Mintilogli and 227 in Chantziliako, and has grown from a village into a small town with shops, cafés and pharmacies. The church of Agios Georgios stands in the centre, and two old monasteries, Metamorfosi Sotiros and Analipsi (built 1699), are close by. Its football club, Asteras, was founded in 1985, and it is on the municipal sewerage scheme for Vrachneika, Monodendri, Roitika, Mintilogli, Ovrya, Demenika and Paralia, which was nearing completion in July 2026. No incident reporting. City bus 502 ends on the square, though only on weekdays: five departures from Patras on the timetable in force from 11 September 2026. The suburban railway stops at Tsaousi - Mintilogli on the shore, and the nearest street market in the municipal regulation is Paralia's, on Friday mornings.

After dark

Staying here

Fine as a cheap coastal-plain base with a car. Around 15-20 minutes from the South Port gates, so workable for an Italy sailing with time in hand.
