Rogitikon property crime

Ρογιτίκων · district

57/100

Rogitikon scores 57 out of 100 for property crimeaverage crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. It is home to about 1,288 people at 618 people per km².

The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate for Greece as a whole, 100 the safest end of the scale and 0 the least safe, and every doubling of the rate costs the same number of points wherever you are. Regional units are scored from Eurostat's police-recorded offence rates per 100,000 inhabitants. Greece publishes nothing finer, so municipalities and districts share out their region's measured rate by how built-up they are and by documented local reporting — treat those two levels as an estimate, not a count of reported crime.

What Rogitikon is actually like

Ordinary city precautionsNo specific problem on record beyond what any dense city centre has.

A community of the Paralia municipal unit on the southern coastal plain, about 9 km from the centre of Patras. A modest settlement of houses, small holdings and some summer building on the flat ground behind the shore. It was included in the municipal sewerage scheme for the southern villages. No incident reporting.

After dark

Quiet, with dark lanes between the built-up parts and little late movement. Nothing documented.

What to watch for

  • Unlit lanes between settlements
  • Second homes left empty out of season

Staying here

Workable as a cheap coastal-plain base with a car, and close enough to the South Port to be practical for an Italy sailing if you allow time.
