What Rogitika is actually like
A community of the Paralia municipal unit on the southern coast, about 9 km from the centre of Patras (8 km in a straight line from Plateia Georgiou), with 1,194 residents at the 2021 census. The first houses stand about 15 m from the sea; the settlement divides into Kato Roitika, with the small cape of Mytikas, Ano Roitika and Goumenitsanika, and has a six-class primary school and the village's main church, Agioi Konstantinos and Eleni. By the 1890s it was a resort with villas of well-off Patras families, and it is on the municipal sewerage scheme for the southern villages, which was nearing completion in July 2026. No incident reporting. The Monodendri branch of city bus 501 stops on Plateia Roitika, the Tsaousi - Mintilogli stop of the suburban railway serves the area, and the nearest street market in the municipal regulation is Paralia's, on Friday mornings.

Staying here
Workable as a cheap coastal-plain base with a car, and close enough to the South Port to be practical for an Italy sailing if you allow time.
