Levka scores 37 out of 100 (modelled estimate, Eurostat 2021–2024) for violent crime — above-average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. Levka has no police figures of its own. Its estimate is Piraeus's rate — Piraeus scores 36 for violent crime — and the 1 point between them comes from how the model shares Piraeus's total out, not from anything measured in Levka. An estimated 8,312 people live there: the 2021 census counts the surrounding community as a whole, and this is its share by area.
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Levka is actually like
The old industrial core, named for the poplars that grew here under King George I. It borders Kaminia to the east, Palaia Kokkinia to the north, Papastratos to the west along the OSE lines, and Gouva tou Vavoula and Paliatzidika to the south along the ISAP lines. This was the labour centre of Piraeus: the Retsina brothers' textile mill, the last of five, and the Kerani tobacco works, once Greece's third largest.
After dark
Semi-industrial and thinly populated after working hours, with railway cuttings, blank warehouse walls and long stretches without passers-by. That, rather than any documented incident, is the reason to be deliberate about your route.
Staying here
Not a place to book. Almost no accommodation, streets poorly suited to walking with bags, and nothing gained on distance to the ferries over the port blocks.
