A small western neighbourhood between Kolonos, Akadimia Platonos and the boundary with Aigaleo and Peristeri. It was market gardens until a few decades ago, so it was subdivided later and built lower and less densely than Kolonos — more two- and three-storey houses, more yards, fewer eight-floor blocks. It is entirely residential, with a share of workshops and nuisance uses strung along the Lenorman axis.
Quiet, low-rise and largely unremarkable after dark; the Lenorman end is the busier and rougher edge, the interior streets are simply empty.
There is essentially no visitor accommodation and no reason to look for any. It is a place to live cheaply, not to stay.
Reputation against reality. Usually absorbed into 'Kolonos' in both news coverage and travel advice, which overstates its problems; nothing specific to Kolokynthou appears in the 2026 police plan.
