Petroto scores 70 out of 100 (modelled estimate, Eurostat 2021–2024) for property crime — below-average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. Petroto has no police figures of its own. Its estimate is Patras's rate — Patras scores 55 for property crime — and the 15 points between them come from how the model shares Patras's total out, not from anything measured in Petroto. It is home to about 639 people (2021 census).
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Petroto is actually like
A community of the Messatida municipal unit on the foothills south-east of Patras, bordering Krini, Saravali and Souli, the Perivola district of the city and the Glafkos river. It had 543 residents at the 2021 census, 503 of them in Mavromandila, the community seat since 1955, about 6 km in a straight line from Plateia Georgiou in central Patras; Petroto itself had 32 and Agia Paraskevi (Topolova) 8. The area is best known for the Achaia Clauss winery: the settlement that grew up around it is still called Klaous, as is the stop on city buses 703, 704 and 707. The municipality's carnival workshop, where the floats for the Patras Carnival are built, is also here, and excavations on Amygdalia hill have found a Geometric-period settlement. Nothing in the 2024-2026 Greek press or Hellenic Police record names Petroto.
