A dense central district just above Pasalimani, named for its church, built with the neighbouring old people's home at the end of the 19th century. Its axes are Leoforos Grigoriou Lampraki and Tzavella, which climbs toward Kastella hill, meeting at the church. One of the most heavily populated parts of the city, with many students because the University of Piraeus sits alongside it at Karaoli & Dimitriou 80.
Student-flavoured and reasonably lively on Lampraki and around the university; the steeper residential lanes toward Kastella go quiet. Nothing documented specifically here in 2024-26.
Central, cheap and a short walk down to Zea or across to Dimotiko Theatro metro. A sensible mid-range base before a ferry, especially if you want to eat somewhere that is not a port kebab shop.
