Saravalio scores 51 out of 100 (modelled estimate, Eurostat 2021–2024) for violent crime — average crime, on a scale where 50 is the average for Greece. Saravalio has no police figures of its own. Its estimate is Patras's rate — Patras scores 47 for violent crime — and the 4 points between them come from how the model shares Patras's total out, not from anything measured in Saravalio. It is home to about 4,202 people (2021 census).
The score is absolute, not a ranking: 50 is the offence rate of Greece as a whole and every doubling of the rate costs the same points, so any two places compare directly. How the scores are made

What Saravalio is actually like
The seat of a community of the Messatida municipal unit south-south-east of Patras, about 8 km from the centre by road (7 km in a straight line from Plateia Georgiou). The community had 4,618 residents at the 2021 census, most of them in Demenika (2,845); Saravali itself had 749, and Agios Stefanos, Kefalovryso and Bakari the rest. Saravali stands at 70-180 m at the foot of Mount Omplos, with the Patras ring road along its northern edge; its central square, Plateia Kastrou, occupies the site of a Frankish castle, and the Battle of Saravali of 9 March 1822 is re-enacted in the village every year. It has a kindergarten, a primary school and a lower-secondary school. It is a spread-out commuter village of detached houses, small holdings and newer building, with no tourism. Nothing in the 2024-2026 police or press record names Saravali. Patras city buses run here: route 703 (Begoulaki - Saravali), route 704 (Saravali - Krini) and route 707 (Souli - Saravali). The community's weekly street market is on Thursday mornings in Demenika, on Agion Theodoron street; Ovrya's is on Mondays.
